The surface of a sectional door is constructed from several sections that slide up vertically and rotate until they are in a horizontal position under the ceiling. The entrance is kept completely free to let you drive in and out.
The door’s roller system has ball bearings with a nylon contact area to ensure that it operates quietly. The running rails are installed in such a way to ensure as few transitions as possible. Thanks to the balancing via torsion springs it takes minimum force to open and close the door.
The door leaf is treated with a polyester plastic primer. The standard colour for both the inside and outside is RAL 9010.
The exterior (but also interior, if wished) is available in a colour of your choice.
1. Manual: The options include a hand grip, foot support, rope pull, sliding bolt, a lock with a profile cylinder and a manual hoist.
2. Electric: see automations: JIM engine
Passive functional safety
The European Commission has dawn up a number of guidelines for the operation and safety of gates.
All of our gates comply with these requirements and the standards of the Construction Products Directive and the Mechanical Engineering Directive EN 13241-1. Furthermore, they have been tested by the following agencies: TÜV, SP and SKG.
Security against theft
Bam Bormet’s gates have SKG certification (class II), Komo certificate. This certificate proves that our gates are secured against burglars.
Active functional safety
Our gates are equipped with special fall protection safeguards that prevent the door leaf from falling down if a spring or cable breaks (industrial). Embedded cable routing, side crush protection and protected rollers ensure optimal protection. Our electrically operated doors can be fit with a double safety measure and they comply with the strictest criteria set by the European Commission. All doors bear a CE marking.
Below are a few examples of finished swing gates.
